Being a parent or carer can be both rewarding and challenging, and sometimes a little extra support can make all the difference. 

Our aim is to ensure every family feels listened to, informed, and confident in accessing the help they need at the right time.

The Family Support Team work across all three of our sites — Woodhouse, Headingley, and Boston Spa — and includes:

  • Katie Hurley – Family Support and Community Manager
  • Syma Khan – Family Support Worker
  • Claire Carson – Family Support Worker

We offer a range of support throughout the year, including:

  • Informal coffee mornings, where you can meet other parents and carers, share experiences, build supportive networks and feel part of a supportive community. 
  • Workshops and guest speakers on topics that matter to families
  • Guidance and involvement in Early Help plans for families who may benefit from additional support
  • Targeted support through our SILC cluster partnerships
